Eurycoma Longifolia, the south east Asian secret testosterone boosting plant ?.Eurycoma Longfolia is a native plant to Malaysia , Indonesia and can be found in Thailand and Vietnam too..
Eurycoma Longfolia has been shown in studies to increase testosterone levels in males up to 93%.
In a study from the Reproductive Research Center in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, men between the ages of 31-52 regularly took Eurycoma Longfolia.
Results indicated increased testosterone levels; thus improving libido, energy as well as muscle mass (Source: Excerpt from Molecular Biology of the Cell, September 1, 2002)
While it appears there are many benefits to this plant a very prominent effect is that it stimulates sex drive, appears to thicken semen with increased sperm count, reduces incidences of premature ejaculation, and aids in maintaining erections. That is a lot of manly benefits for one flower to provide.
Eurycoma Longfolia was shown to help not only for the immune system and the muscular system, but the reproductive system . The most important part of the semen is the spermatozoa, as it is the male generative cell which fertilizes the female ovum, and this is what the Eurycoma Longfolia was shown to strengthens.
The data suggests that Eurycoma Longfolia blocks the negative feedback to the pituitary gland and hypothalamus that initiates this testosterone deficiency, and essentially tricks the body into producing testosterone levels experienced by men in their early 20s (Source: Dr. James Stoxen, Ch. 39-a, Eureka Bioscience Collection, October 3, 2003
Another prominent study done by Henkel, Wang, et al. at the Department of Medical Bioscience, University of the Western Cape, South Africa in 2014 was done to determine whether Eurycoma Longfolia could provide health benefits for physically active male and female seniors. The test subjects each received 400 mg of Eurycoma Longfolia extract every day for a period of five weeks.
The levels of total and free testosterone in the test subjects increased in a significant amount. This increase was for both the men and the women in this group. The researchers noted, “Treatment resulted in significant increases in total and free testosterone concentrations and muscular force in men and women. The increase in free testosterone in women is thought to be due to the significant decline in sex hormone binding globulin concentrations. Free testosterone increased approximately twice as much in both male and female subjects. Twice as much free testosterone is very drastic increase.

Another study conducted by Tambi, Imran, and Henkel at the Wellmen Clinic, Damai Service Hospital, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and was a case-control supplementation study involving 76 patients who are suffering from late onset hypogonadism. The researchers wanted to determine whether Eurycoma Longfolia could be an effective testosterone booster for helping men with late onset hypogonadism.
The test subjects each received 200 mg of a water-soluble extract containing Eurycoma Longfolia. They received this supplement every day for a period of one month.
Before treatment, only 35.5% of the test subjects had what were labeled “normal testosterone levels.” After treatment, 90.8% of the test subjects showed normal values with regard to testosterone levels. The average increase in testosterone levels was approximately 46%. They went from 5.66 to 8.31 nmol/L All this research is really making Eurycoma Longfolia out to be some sort of super testosterone booting plant. It doesn’t seem to have gotten much attention in the supplement industry. We will definitely be keeping our eyes out for this key ingredient in any testosterone boosting product.
